Rubber Insertion Sheet in Kenya

Category:

Natural Rubber Insertion in Kenya (also known as Rubber Insertion or NRI) is a highly economical, general purpose rubber manufactured from natural rubber compound that is reinforced with a woven cotton insertion as standard. This reinforcement is usually meant to increases the tensile strength of Natural Rubber Insertion and allow it to be used in a range of common sealing, wear pad, skirting and lining applications.

Rubber insertion is usually Black in colour (as standard), and has good resistance to mild acids and alkalis and moderate resistance to ozone. It is not well suited to use with oils and/or hydrocarbons. It is typically used in applications where temperatures range from -50ºC to 90ºC and has good edge tear resistance and abrasion resistance coupled with reliable and controlled elasticity.

Depending on the thickness selected, the material comes with either a 1 or 2 ply reinforcement. Generally, 0.8mm, 1.5mm and 3mm material is supplied with 1 ply reinforcement (though 3mm is also available with 2 ply) whilst 4.5mm and 6mm are supplied with two plies of cotton.

Kingsman Eng. & Industrial Insulation Company offers this versatile and affordable grade of rubber in a range of thicknesses, roll widths and forms. It is available by the meter and in roll form as standard.
